My fee for a 50-minute individual therapy session is $150. Extended sessions are available upon request. I do not accept insurance directly, but I’m happy to provide a superbill (receipt) you can submit to your insurance provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Many clients are able to receive partial reimbursement this way. You may also use HSA/FSA funds to pay for therapy sessions.
To check if you have out-of-network mental health benefits, I recommend calling your insurance provider and asking:
I have a late cancel (within 48 hours) and no show fee of $100. You can cancel by text, phone call or email.
When you book your initial session with me, I will send you digital paperwork to be completed 48 hours prior to your first appointment. If it is not completed, the appointment will be cancelled.
I recommend starting therapy on a weekly basis to establish a good foundation (a minimum of 6-8 weeks is ideal). As therapy progresses, we can adjust the frequency based on your needs. Some clients choose to continue with weekly sessions, while others decrease sessions to every other week or once a month for maintenance.
Many clients find value in a longer-term relationship, while others take breaks and return when new challenges or external circumstances arise. Every journey is different, and my goal is to provide support for however long you need.
No. Clients from Modern Alchemy Community & Counseling and Modern Alchemy Wellness are separate and cannot switch between the two businesses. Combining therapy and energy work as your provider could create a dual relationship. I respect you and our relationship and need to maintain boundaries between these two businesses with your best interest in mind.
You are entitled to receive this “Good Faith Estimate” of what the charges could be for psychotherapy services provided to you. While it is not possible for a psychotherapist to know, in advance, how many psychotherapy sessions may be necessary or appropriate for a given person, this form provides an estimate of the cost of services provided. Your total cost of services will depend upon the number of psychotherapy sessions you attend, your individual circumstances, and the type and amount of services that are provided to you. This estimate is not a contract and does not obligate you to obtain any services from the provider listed, nor does it include any services rendered to you that are not identified here.
This Good Faith Estimate is not intended to serve as a recommendation for treatment or a prediction that you may need to attend a specified number of psychotherapy visits. The number of visits that are appropriate in your case, and the estimated cost for those services, depends on your needs and what you agree to in consultation with your therapist. You are entitled to disagree with any recommendations made to you concerning your treatment and you may discontinue treatment at any time.
My fee for a 50-minute psychotherapy session is $150. Most clients will attend one psychotherapy session per week, but the frequency of psychotherapy visits that are appropriate in your case may be more or less than once per week, depending on your needs.
Estimate for 4-5 sessions monthly for weekly sessions: $600-$750
Estimate for 2-3 sessions monthly for biweekly sessions: $300-$450
To make best progress, I recommend that new clients begin with weekly sessions for the first 6-8 weeks (total: $900-$1,200). This allows us the necessary time to assess and understand your presenting concerns, build our rapport, and begin any immediate skill building you may need. After this initial period, most clients either continue at this frequency or reduce to biweekly depending on your progress and needs at that time.
Due to the fact that your treatment planning is ongoing and dependent on your individual progress and needs, I would like you to be aware that 24 sessions a year (biweekly schedule) would be $3,900 for a year of therapy and that 48 session a year (weekly sessions) would be $7,200 for a year (most therapists take off 4 weeks per year) to assist you in your estimation.
We will work collaboratively to ensure you are only attending sessions as needed and deemed effective/helpful to you.
Monthly sessions are only recommended for those that have already met their primary treatment goals and when seeking ongoing support is appropriate for longer term mental health goals. Any diagnostic codes will not be identifiable until you begin treatment. Any diagnoses will not affect the cost of the session, but would inform your treatment plan which would include suggested session frequency.
I will notify you prior to any rate changes.
Although I will discuss an initial treatment plan with you regarding our recommended session frequency and revisit your session needs ongoing, you will confirm and consent to only one session at a time which I will confirm with you at the end of each session. Meaning, you will never receive or be “surprised” by additional services that you have not agreed to.
You have a right to initiate a dispute resolution process if the actual amount charged to you substantially exceeds the estimated charges stated in your Good Faith Estimate (which means $400 or more beyond the estimated charges).
You are encouraged to speak with your provider at any time about any questions you may have regarding your treatment plan, or the information provided to you in this Good Faith Estimate.
